Who We Are
OnSite Emergency Tarping is a Winter Haven based emergency roof protection company serving Central Florida, from Polk County across the I-4 corridor to Tampa Bay, Orlando, and the Gulf Coast.
The name is the business. When a storm, a fallen limb, or plain bad luck opens up a roof, we get on site and get it protected: fitted, battened, anchored tarps that keep the weather out until permanent repairs can happen. It is urgent, physical, unglamorous work, and it is what we have chosen to be genuinely good at.
That focus is deliberate. Emergency roof protection done well is a different discipline from general roofing. It means answering the phone at 2 AM. It means keeping trucks stocked with tarps, battens, and anchoring hardware so nothing waits on a supply run. It means knowing how to work a damaged roof safely, in bad conditions, without making the damage worse. Companies that tarp roofs occasionally improvise those things. We have built the whole operation around them.
Why "Minnesota Born, Florida Proud"
Our roots are in the upper Midwest, where winter does not negotiate and neither do the people who work through it. That work ethic came south with us. Florida traded the blizzards for hurricane bands and summer supercells, and the mission stayed the same: when the weather wins a round, show up fast and put the house back in the fight.
Today we are proudly Floridian, based in Winter Haven and on roofs across Central Florida every week. We know how an afternoon thunderstorm can peel back a ridge cap in Lakeland, what a tropical system does to older shingles in Orlando, and how fast Gulf moisture turns a small leak in Sarasota into a stained ceiling and a mold problem.

An emergency service that goes to voicemail is not an emergency service. Our line, (863) 204-2088, is answered around the clock by our own people. You get a straight assessment and a real arrival window, and after major storms, an honest place in line rather than a promise we cannot keep.
Do the Job So It Holds
The measure of an emergency tarp is not how it looks the day it goes on. It is whether it is still sealed after the next squall line. We size tarps to the damage, batten the edges, and anchor into structure. When a roof needs months of protection instead of weeks, we say so and recommend shrink wrap instead of selling you a second tarp job later.
Tell the Truth About What You Need
Some calls do not need us, and we say that on the phone for free. Some damage needs a repair rather than a tarp, and some roofs just need a free inspection and reassurance. You will get our honest read either way. That is how a small local company earns the next call, and the referral after it.
Where We Fit In Your Storm Story
We are the first chapter, not the whole book. Our job is to stabilize and protect: stop the water, document the damage with photographs, and hand you a clean record for whatever comes next, whether that is an insurance claim, a roofing contractor, or a full restoration project. We work alongside the roofers, adjusters, and restoration companies who handle the rebuild, and our documentation makes their jobs easier too.
